Born in the wilds of the California desert and eventually settling in the wilds of northern Germany, Summer works as a writer, stand-up, and improv comedian in Berlin. Her style is marked by cutting social commentary mixed with eye for the ridiculous. In the area of applied improv, she focuses on intercultural training and expanded forms of design thinking. As a writer and translator she works with theaters including the Maxim Gorki and Tilthaus. She has studied at Second City in Chicago, worked with ComedySportz Berlin and has performed at stand up shows across Europe and in New York. Current projects include: the Berlin English Improv Network, finishing her master's degree, and A Spoonful of Deutschland -- German history through the joy of song.
